Brewing Update: The Eisbock is Released
7.6.20 – Packaged! Join us for the public release July 18.
6.30.20 – The Eisbock is emerging from its slumber! We are blending barrels and preparing it for packaging!
2.27.20 – Into barrels with this bock! We decided to go with a mix of neutral oak and bourbon barrels – mostly neutral oak so we get just a bit of bourbon without overwhelming the bock character. We’ll check in on this beer in May!
1.12.20 – Brew day! We are excited to get this beer brewed! We had a great day with Phil and his guests. This beer will have an extended fermentation due to the Lagering portion. We will check back when it is time to get it into barrels.
11.22.19 – Eissturm Wins! Eissturm – German for “ice storm” this Eisbock, aged in a blend of oak and bourbon barrels, is the perfect blend of malty notes and hints of bourbon barrel character. Though never frozen, this Bock is sure to warm your insides. Congratulations, Phil on an awesome beer idea.
